The resurrection of Yeshua seems meshuganah to our natural minds.......until we use the brain G-d gave us!
There were guards placed at the tomb, and the purpose of these guards was to prevent a theft of Yeshuas body. They claimed they fell asleep. Come on now, would such shmo's be given such an important responsibility? ((((Don't you ever think for yourself?)))) Despite the fact that this was an important duty, and not at all a routine one, every one of them is careless and all fall asleep? Yeshua's talmidim arrive and would have to make a lot of noise, rolling back the huge stone, which would have taken some effort, ropes, pulling, etc.,all the while managing not to awaken anyone sleeping nearby?
They have to complete all this before any roving commander appears on the scene who might be checking up on his guards at intervals during the night.
Then they have to enter the tomb and remove the body and make clean their escape, still making sure that no one can give chase.
Before his resurrection, his talmidim had fled and were in hiding. If they didn't believe in him enough to remain with him while he was alive or to stay with him during his arrest and trial. Would they have believed in him enough to remain his followers after he was dead? But what happened? God did bring him back to life! These same followers who saw him after his resurrection became bold witnesses for Yeshua. Would they have endured torture and death? That is how all but one of them died. Admitting it was a lie would have spared them! Would they have risked a probable sentence of death if they had been caught stealing the body? They weren't willing to risk such a sentence by standing with Yeshua when he was alive!
No their chutzpah came after they saw Yeshua alive once again.
Think bubby, think! Isnt it time you asked the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob if Yeshua is the Messiah of Israel?
