Close your eyes and think of the word "priest". 

Okay.  What did you see?

Maybe a Catholic or Episcopal priest? 

Maybe a priest from the temple days?

Oye, it is so upsetting!

What is upsetting?

Well that so many believers have an image of Yeshua that was conceived by non-Jewish thought.

People say they know Yeshua, but do they?

Many years ago I had a friend. 

Actually I hope he is still my friend. 

He was having these thoughts and was rejected by so many people. 

Why? Maybe it was because of his method of presenting truth. 

But ya know, he was right.

Although the Gospel is absolutely Jewish, so much has been added and at the same time so much has been dropped that in some believers hearts and minds, there is no image of him being a Jewish priest.

Let me tell you about Yeshua....

He had to become like his Jewish brothers in every respect—so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, making an atonement for the sins of the people.

Therefore if you are someone whom God has set apart, who share in the call from heaven, think carefully about Yeshua, whom we acknowledge publicly as God’s emissary and as high priest.

Yeshua became a priest by the oath which God swore when he said to him, "Adonai has sworn and will not change his mind, ‘You are a priest forever. "

Here is the whole point of what we have been saying: we do have just such a high priest as has been described. And he does sit at the right hand of HaShem in heaven. There he serves in the Holy Place, that is, in the true Tent of Meeting, the one erected not by human beings but by Adonai. We have a great priest over God’s household.

Is this your image of Yeshua? Do you see him serving in the Holy Place today? Or is your image a man-made non-Jewish non-scriptural image?

Keep your faith true to scripture. Take a look at Hebrews 2:17, 3:1, 7:21,24,25, 8:1,2, 10:21

Isn't it interesting that truth has gotten so distorted that truth seems false and false looks true?
